The newest patent-pending technology to the Sun-A-Lux® and Port-a-Sun™Light Therapy Boxes. Bright light therapy has been used for SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder also known as the winter blues, winter depression or seasonal depression.

Our senior lighting engineer was on the original scientific team that developed and patented full spectrum lighting as it is know today and even received an Oscar from the movie industry for his work with lighting.

1) Blue-Lux™ technology combines a specific wave length in the Blue Spectrum with high intensity to produce a faster and stronger response to light than all other 10,000 lux and Full Spectrum Light Boxes.

2) Blue-Lux™ technology can be found in all Sun-A-Lux® Light Boxes and even in our Glad Light™ Desk Lamps to fulfill all your different light therapy needs.

3) Blue-Lux™ technology has also made all our light boxes more powerful and easier to use. In years past it took 1 –2 hours of light therapy to produce the same affects as 15 minutes of the new Blue-Lux™ Technology.

4) With typical light therapy products, a person typically has to sit within 2 feet of the source for light therapy for a period of 30 minutes to 2 hours. With the new Blue-Lux™ technology, we have incorporated it into the 10,000 light therapy units bulbs so one simply has to be in the room to benefit. For instance, if you were in a 10 x 10 room you’d receive the benefits simply from walking around the room. No longer does one need to sit directly in from of the light therapy source to receive the benefits. This new technology has been introduced into the Glad Light™ Flip Lamp Combo and Glad Light™ Desk Lamp Combo.

5) Blue-Lux™ Light between 420 – 480 nm has been found to significantly reduce melatonin levels which affects winter blues and winter depression. Sun-A-Lux is proud to announce a new patent pending light bulb that incorporates a bulb that is rich in 420 – 480 nm Blue Light color into its 10,000 Lux bulb, hence the Combo. The new Sun-A-Lux combo bulb combines white light and blue light.
